On Monday 17th April, we welcomed the children back with an exciting opportunity to try golf with Mike Dodd from Sturminster Marshall Golf Club. The day started with a whole school assembly, including a mini competition between some Year 4 children and a teacher. 

Each class was then given the opportunity to take part in mini workshops that included putting and some chipping. They all thoroughly enjoyed these sessions and gained an appreciation of some of the different skills needed when playing golf.

The aim of the day was to expose children to a new sport that they would not normally access in school. We hope that the children enjoyed the day and take up the opportunity to attend 'Taster Sessions' at Sturminster Marshall Golf Club.
