Dorset Schools tumbling competition

20th November 2017

On Sunday 19th November, Springdale year 4 girls entered the Dorset Schools tumbling competition. The girls had been practicing hard at school and at their gymnastics clubs to perfect their tumbles! Unfortunately the day before the competition one of the gymnasts sustained an injury which meant she was unable to tumble. This meant that with four scores needed to count towards the total the remaining  gymnasts had to perform to the best of their ability. They didn’t disappoint and produced their best tumbles on the day! With tough competition from 13 other schools the girls didn’t quite make the finals on this occasion. However they were a pleasure to work with listening to advice and working their hardest! They had a great team spirit and really enjoyed the experience!

"Pupils thrive at the school, developing outstanding attitudes to learning due to the excellent relationships they form with adults and the very practical, interesting and challenging lesson activities provided. Their excellent behaviour is evident in all aspects of school life."
