Lunch at Springdale

Lunch at Springdale

Once your child is attending school full time you can choose to give them a packed lunch or order a hot meal.

Lunches at Springdale

Hot Meals: The food is of a high quality and very appetising. Menus are issued every half term, each day offering a standard, vegetarian or jacket potato choice. I am sure you will be amazed at the variety of food that your child will eat when with their peers. All children in Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free meal. Children in other year groups whose families have a low income may also be entitled to a free hot school meal. Please contact Poole Borough Council if you think your child may be entitled to free school meals.

All meals are ordered termly in advance and menus are sent out a few weeks before the end of each term and must be filled out and returned by a specified date.  Children in FS, Year 1 & Year 2 must order for 5 days a week and for all the weeks of the term.  Children in Years 3 & 4 do not have to order a hot meal for every day of the week but orders must still be received by the date specified. Meals must be paid for using the PMX system at a cost of £2.50 per meal.

Packed lunches:  If you choose to send your child with a packed lunch do not send more than you would expect them to eat, they are encouraged to finish what they have.  Sweets and chocolate are not allowed and please do not sent nut products as we do have some children with a nut allergy in school and we endeavour to be a nut free school.

All children should be provided with a drink to have with their lunch, preferably water in a re-usable bottle.
